Becoming a Mentor

Mentor Students at North East Futures UTC

North East Futures UTC strives to prepare 16-19 year olds for the world of work and we are constantly looking for professionals from all levels of different industries to help us achieve that.

Twice termly meetings (totaling six hours per academic year) allow our Mentors to catch up with our students and talk through each and every aspect of their Career Pathway. These regular sessions cover CV building, application forms and interview techniques, as well as providing an insight into an individual Mentor’s experience and personal journey into their profession.

Become a Mentor at North East Futures UTC and:

  • Share your passion and experiences with someone who wants to follow your path.
  • Have a positive impact on a young person’s confidence and development.
  • Inspire and support the next generation of STEM-focused workers here in the North East.
  • Continue your own professional development by supporting young people with their careers.

Our Mentors are industry professionals who share their experiences from a range of different sectors, including Healthcare Sciences, Digital Technology, Engineering and many more.
